I would choose Alexandra, a 4-syllable girl's name of Greek origin, means: defender; helper of mankind...Alexandra's ethnic backgrounds include Swedish. Historical figures with this name include Alexandra (Royalty) and because of the nicknames : alexa, alexis, alex, elexa

Lexi and Alex are as over-done as Emily, but I LOVE that name, Emily. Even though it sounds a bit meek -- remember you DO tend to live up to your name. I don't like Veronica as a whole but I love the nickname Roni -- it was my mothers nickname given her by her siblings in the 40's, short for Gerhonda. Then again, Geri and Rhonda were also short for Gerhonda, so there was plenty of nick names to choose from there. Unlike Emily, which usually gets shortened to Em.
Alexandra is a strong name that suggests bold, courageous, confident, tall, dark and beautiful, a leader among men. So I simply HAVE to vote for Alexandra, and if you want a nickname that is not over-used, consider Xan or Xandra.
GOOD LUCK!

Alexandra Emily is very pretty. Not too keen on Veronica, though.

of those 3 I'd pick Veronica. Emily is ok, but I think Alexandra could end up being shortened to alex, which isn't a nice girl's name.

I have an Emilie as my husband didn't like anything else. it has grown on me and we call he Emi for short. i wanted Emelia so i definately like Alexandria as both long pretty names. Veronica is a strong name I don't like it as much as the others.
Alex and Lexie are great nicknames for Alexandria.
Best of luck

Alexandria-too common
Emily-too common
Veronica-gorgeous name!
I like Veronica the best, I know a girl that's named that. She is so unique. I'm so envious of her. I love her name, her personality, I hope you name your baby "Veronica!"
All my best,
Brittney xo
