LOL..it looks so stupid! I bought my husband a styptic pencil and put it right by his shaving stuff. He used it once. I guess he finds the TP more attractive...
EDIT: i think she knew it was to stop the bleeding, and for all you geniuses out there who use the TP, too..guess you've never heard of a styptic pencil, not that it would matter like in my hubby's case...lol.

Its because the tissue paper is absorbent, it sucks up the blood and spreads it out over the tissue paper this helps the blood dry quicker and thus stops the bleeding.
Oh I am 48 and gave up shaving 20 years ago because of the cuts and tissue paper :-)

Hmmm, no longer that i will endure in techniques, yet even so I drink plenty water that i've got not rather allowed my skin to improve that many pimples in view that i replaced into on the puberty degree. It happens, yet infrequently. I in many situations have some Neutrogena on standby for such an social gathering. That stuff makes the pimple smaller interior seconds because of the fact it assaults the oil on your pores like at present, works like a charm! reckoning on the form/length of decrease or busted pimple stay away from the universal public like the plague. My cousin walked out the living house looking like a unicorn sooner or later. Lol! = )

Yeah, it does look funny. Perhaps they have period envy? We bleed, and effectively use bits of tissue to help with that, maybe they are trying to show us they bleed too. its the only thing I can think of, as why else would they leave the damn stuff attached to their faces when the bleeding has stopped. Bless em.

They are to lazy to buy a septic pencil. It stops the bleeding quickly, provides better protection from germs and it is inexpensive. However, with razor blades today one is less likely to cut yourself shaving.

It's the fastest and most inobtrusive way to stop the bleeding.
If we didn't do it, the blod wouldn't clot and we'd be left with congealed streams of blood on our face; a look that doesn't quite pass the GQ editor's seal of approval.

Not to attract attention, but to absorb bleeding quickly so as to let it dry or coagulate sooner, Thin tissue will soak easily and dry quicker

Because the bits of paper allow the blood to stop running down our faces and clot. What would you prefer we use?
