Definitely. If we do not learn our history we are bound to repeat it. If the majority of children around the world do not learn about World War II and the effects of it, they would probably be a severe world war III when they grow up.

Not a chance. If so, we wouldn't be in such the chaotic state we are in. We tend to repeat history, we are doomed to do so, because we just can't learn our lesson. We have doomed ourselves to extinction from the getgo. I could get into some serious depth on this, but I won't waste your time, or mine.

Absolutely not ... if anything we learn to cover up our mistakes and wrong-doings when we repeat them..
or just say that we did not have all the evidence ...the evidence was faulty... and that we did not deliberately mislead ...and that we believed in what we were doing/saying at the time...
a bit of charisma helps...
dr bad
sorry ... what was the question..? ;-)

Usually quite the opposite! and don't forget - he who doesn't learn from his mistakes is doomed to repeat them.
Most people have never heard of the Holocaust.
The Australian Govt wants to mine uranium for export - of course only to friendly nations. Aren't they forgetting that until the rise of the Ayatollah in Iran, it was considered a friendly nation?

I Do Not. In Fact I think that each generation claims as its own, the Right to make the same ones, like they might lose out on something.

Not enough. In my church the thing you see first is the font, this was bought in memory of a 21 year old 2nd lieutenant who did in Afghanistan in 1872. We have now been in Afghanistan four times, and each time our young men die.

I think they do and this is why we are clamping down on dictatorships and fanatically run countries. We learnt from Hitler what will happen if dictators take over It is just regrettable that countries like France have a short memory..
