I'd say spending time in the mountains by San Diego. You can hike all day, see beautiful vistas, & work up a good appetite & thirst. It's great!

When I left home and got a little unfurnished flat of my own. I had a housewarming party and never dreamt I would get such beautiful useful gifts, all of which I still treasure today (many years later).
Travel. I think the times I went on my own I had the best times. I was exhilarated, just tingling. When I look at the souvenirs I brought back I don't see cheap junk, I re-live the memories.
Love. I fell in love a year ago and every morning I would wake up in a fabulous mood, but unfortunately it all went sour.
Dietiing. When I realize I have lost some weight from being too busy to eat or so busy that I have been running round burning off the calories, and then you put that dress on you've been wantiing to get into and find IT FITS!! And it all happened without consciously dietiing.
Friends. When you see friends you haven't seen for a long time and you see they have flourished and are happy, and you talk and talk about old and new times.
Camel. I rode a camel and it was the most thrilling unusual experience. Everyone is still laughing at the photos.
Coming across a bargain. Recently I have been looking at garments for $35 and shortly after I found one of these for $7.50 and one for $15, and that is fun!!!
When you find the perfect gift. When it is a friend's birthday or Christmas and you find the perfect card with a cartoon character on and it is the same name as your friend, or when you find a gift that you know they will absolutely love.
When something spooky happens like a really big coincidence, that is fun.

Probably the most fun thing was a trip into the mountains of Hawaii when I was stationed there. Almost every weekend we were out exploring some part of the lush forrest/jungle areas. On one particular outing, we had to climb over what we thought was a huge tree that had fallen. While chopping away some of the dense vines, we discovered that it was no tree at all, but a Japanese Zero that had been lost when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. We reported it and the authorities came out and cordoned off the area and wouldn't let us back in even tho we had found it. That sucked, but we got to see it up close at least. I only regret that we didn't have a camera with us.

Oh I think it is going to be this coming weekend. God has a hand in this. A family plan at the beach in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Two of my sons haven't seen each other in a few years because one just retired from the military and lives in Virginia. He & his family are going to meet Mom & Dad (that's me and hubby) there. My other son has a planned vacation there before school starts with his family, he lives in Houston, Tx. as do Dad & I. He hasn't a clue that anyone but his family will be there. I can tell you, he will be over joyed.
I cannot believe how this has all fallen into place on the spur of the moment. We have seperate codos & ours is our time share out of RCI spacebank that we have up for sale cheap, right on the beach, because Dad & I are 76 & 81 and getting to old to travel like we once did. We have loved it.
I didn't answer your question & I apologize for that. You do ask the best questions. My type anyway.
I'm so excited that I'm just bursting at the seams. Those two sons have my only grandchildren. 5 of them. Age 20 mo. to 16 yrs..~~~~~jill~~~~ Have a great day & God Bless You.

My honeymoon in Antigua, West Indies!! OK I know what you are all thinking, haha, but I was referring to how much fun it was to travel and get away with my husband for the first time!! We started dating at 16 years-old and both have very Catholic families... so we were NEVER able to even sneak away, not even for a weekend! So, we had the best time being together on our vacation... finally!!!!! We literally lounged on the beach and swam in the water alllll day long. We even got to swim with sting rays and go to the Pillars of Hercules.. it was amazing! At night we would eat dinner on the beach and dance (I miss it!!!). I would love to go back someday!!
OH and you know I took care of as many stray cats and stray dogs as possible when I was down there... they all ate pretty well :)

Oh so many!
- When I went on a shopping spree in Dubai for a month
- When I toured the entire Island of Cyprus for 3 months
- When I toured the entire Namibia with my parents and cousin (drove a total of 7000 km - that converts to 4349 miles)
- When I toured the West Coast of South Africa with a friend, we camped most of the times on the beach, one night we didn't even have access to bathrooms
- When one of my best friends and I slept outside one night in the middle of winter (it was -3 degrees Celsius, that is 26,6 degrees Fahrenheit)
- When my cousin and I used to have chilly eating contests between us... we would eat the chillies like you would eat a carrot, but we would act like nothings wrong!
- Every time I take a flight on a microlight plane
- Every single time I have camped, especially the time we were almost attacked by a leopard at St. Lucia on the east coast of SA!
- Every fabric paint night I had with my girl friends, oh the creations that were born on such evenings!
- The fishing trips with my grand parents and late born uncle (mom's brother only 4 months older than me) when I was still a kid, the imaginary 'trips' my young uncle and I went on while playing...
- Every mural I have painted
- Every landscape project I have done, all the gardens I have designed and every water feature I have built
I could carry on and on...

This may seem very simple....I remember after my 2nd child was only 7 weeks old, I went up to Minnesota to visit my sister and her family. My oldest son was 5 years old and my sister's children were very only 5 & 3. We took the kids to see the Disney movie, Tarzan. After the movie, we went to the store and bought the music CD and brought it home. I have very fond memories of all of us dancing in her living room to Phil Collins. Everytime I hear songs from that movie....I smile and remember how much fun that was.
