Did they make your life more difficult or more pleasant?

(This applies to both married and unmarried people...)

No, I have never regretted it. I only regret that I didn't wait until I was more mature. It would have benefited both me and my children.

It is not a matter of difficult or pleasant--children are people. It is a matter of living with (and providing for) other individuals.

Those are the two important aspects for me; living with these other people and caring for and raising them to grow to be good people.

Do not regret having my son for an instant. Much more pleasant but probably better said as more challanging rather than difficult or pleasant. The reward at the end will be to see how he moves into adulthhod, education, girl he marries, kids, etc

I absolutely love my life with my daughter, though being a single mom isn't easy by any stretch...I cherish my life more now that she's a part of it. The good fun things about children more than out weigh the difficulties. Enriching your life with the little things makes the big ones seem small. I'm so thankful that I've been given the opportunity to know the unconditional love a child brings into your world. Both the love she gives and the love I feel for her. As well as to understand the love that is larger than myself, to love beyond myself, is quite refreshing.

NEVER!
My children brought much happiness and growth into my life.
I couldn't imadgine a life without them. I am a better person for having them. I learned that life isn't just about me. They are in their late twenties now and are wonderful people. It has been a wonderful experience to watch them grow and learn . Not to say there were not some hard times, but it was worth it. I am looking forward to having grand kids, so we can do it all over again.

having children continues life's cycle. it makes life more interesting and though regrets come later, todate, i look at children as achievements we as a couple has done and a chance to do right what has been perceived to be wrong then. it allows us to take a back step and compare how childhood had been and now that it is in my control, how it is.
