Does anyone know how to select regional settings on Google?
Sometimes I want to see listings of products in the USA but because I'm in the UK it automatically gives UK results in preference; a Google product search only generates results in pounds or euros, not dollars.

By using a bit of logic and a bit of intelligence. If I wanted a Pizza in Greenwhich, I would not just put Greenwich in the search as that will throw1million hits for US loan companies etc. All I want is a Pizza. Therefore, I would put Greenwich, London. That's still not enough as Americans didn't have the brains to come up with names for their towns and cities, they just stole them from elsewhere. Even New York is named after York (the capital of North Yorkshire). So, now I have probably increased the number of hits as Google is now throwing all hits for Greenwich and London, in the US. This is where I use a little logic and I search for Pizza, Greenwich, London, UK. By putting UK, I have deleted most of the US hits, some loan and viagra sites will still show though LOL and the first hits are likely to be Pizza Express etc. in Greenwich, London and the UK. As for seeing prices in Dollars, go to American sites. If you see pounds or Euros, you are only visiting UK and European sites. If you go to Amazon.co.uk, all prices are in pounds, go to Amazon.com and the prices are in Dollars. Logic and intelligence will work, if you try it. Finally, have you tried going to Google.com rather than co.uk? It appears that you are like many people, that use search engines to go to websites. This tupe of surfing is both illogical and wrong. If you want to visit Tesco's site, put the address in the address bar, not a search engine. If you know the name of the company and want it's uk site, the chances are that the address ends in .co.uk If not, then it is a .com If you want a college, school, Uni, they end in .ac.uk If it's a Government Agency or local council, it will end in .gov.uk For other countries .co.es forSpain, .co.de for Germany, .co.it for Italy etc. etc.
