Would have to say Christopher Eccleston but that's coz I'm from his home-town of Manchester and actually know him (or knew him I should say!)

But watching the Tom Baker episodes (which were a little before my time) I think he was really good too.

My favourite assistant is Ace (Sophie Aldred) who was on the programme with Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor. I really couldn't stand Bonnie Langford because all she would do is scream and as a little kid it used to drive me mad!

Definitely Tom Baker. He took the good doctor out of the dark ages and gave him humour, immigration and morals. The only other decent one I think was Christopher Ecceleston. Heard the horrible news that they might even be another one ???

Nine (Christopher Eccelston) was my "first" Doctor, so I think he'll always be my favorite...though I haven't been able to get my hands on any of the older series to watch them yet. Working on it, though!
