Most DSL modems are accessed with 198.168.0.1 where you can put your username/password in usually in the "setup" menu. Make sure you have "detect settings automatically" selected with no old IP addresses in your TCP/IP. You should have some type of WAN light on your modem that will flash slowly then faster then go solid. That means your modem's trained. If it just flashes your modem isn't training and you won't be able to install DSL until you fix whatever is not letting your modem train. Some modems have an LED that goes green when your authenicated and red when you aren't. Red means your username/password is wrong. Make sure you have the DSL phone number on the jack the modem's plugged into and that your phones have filters DO NOT filter your modem. Some modems have 2 phone plugs in back--one is filtered for a phone. one is for the cord from the jack.
Maybe you should call AT+T DSL help as they have the settings and info for you and they can walk you thru it.
