You can ignore the answers of the ill informed, . Those are not side effects, Sepia sometimes can do that if you take it too often, its called a proving in homeopathic terms, I would advise you to discontinue it till your symptom subside and start taking it again, but not too frequently after a few days. Just take a dose and let it exhaust its action before you take another dose
And can you please tell me what potency are you taking it in and how frequently so I can help you better.
To read about SEPIA in detail please click the link below :- http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/s/sep.htm
Take Care and God Bless you.
P.S
And Dear Dr.Frank since you insist that it cannot give you any side effects and its totally placebo, would you be kind enough to take the same remedy SEPIA in 30C potency every 3 hours for a week and prove it that the effect its giving you is placebo and you can keep on thinking that its going to have no effect on you :o).
Come on how about trying it on Doc. What are you scared of Doc, after all as you say its just placebo my friend.
Come on lets hear for Dr Frank who is going to show the world what placebo effect is,
Bravo Bravo Doc.
May God Bless you with some wisdom my dear ill informed friend. Amen, I would pray for you.

RE:
Homeopathy - Sepia side effects?
I have been perscribed Sepia by my Homeopath. Although it is proving very effective on my eczema I have started to have continual headaches and nausea. Is this a common side effect? I would contact my homeopath but she is away on holidays. Any help would be appreciated xx

This is not homeopathy, this is nutritional supplements but I think "Old time kid" is on the mark. My favorites are 1) I take a liquid glucosamine/ chondroitin/MSM from Swanson which tastes good and I think is helpful. I have found exceptional help tho in hyaluric acid (altho the good stuff is not cheap.) I do believe that science is close to duplicating synovial fluid and we will be able to have injections right into the joints. I do bet the Pharmas will make it extremely expensive tho.

Just cut back on the dosage... As Soul Doctor says, if you take a remedy too often, it can cause a "proving". New symptoms (like what you have) are generally a sign of that.
It's not so much a "side effect" as an effect of taking it too frequently. Sometimes it's hard to balance the dosage and repetition in homoeopathy.

The only possible side effects of homeopathic medications are placebo effects, much like the powerful placebo effects they often induce to cause their so called therapeutic effects.
Eczema is to some extent triggered by stress and anxiety and as many as 70% of sufferers who try homeopathic remedies are therefore likely to get to obtian some level of placebo benefit.
Since sepia is taken and diluted until there is no sepia left and the resultant water sprayed on a sugar pill, no possible activity remains. It is exactly akin to saying dilute a pint of beer by pouring it into a reservoir, then see how much of the reservoir you need to drink before you get drunk!!!!

If it is actually homeopathy, then the stuff you're taking is known as "energy medicine" and technically contains no physical trace of the original substance. This means there is nothing in there to cause a "side effect."
