I really want to grow some, but reasearch hasen't turned up much.

Yes. You can grow kohrabi just about anywhere. It is a cool weather crop like cabbage. It is just about the right planting time for you to have a fall crop. Now through mid Sept. I would think. Plant again in spring. Grand Duke and White Vienna are the two most popular varieties. I prefered GD. You might want to try one of the purple ones. Good stuff Kohlrabi. Too bad it is not better known.
