The crack runs along the side of the wash basin and has recently extended over the top. Can I covered it as taking it back is not an option.

If taking it back is not an option then, rub some "silicone tub and shower" resin into it (the crack) as well as possible and just leave it.

u need to know why it is cracked.....push down on the front and the sides of the sink WHILE HOLDING IT so if i does break it wont fall on ur foot.....while ur puching down just a little bit NOT alot see if the crackl gets bigger...that way you'll know whats doing it or if the installer done it and just didnt say anything.......but i would not keep it as the crack even though it doesnt look like it is hurting will eventually get bigger and the sink WILL fall off the wall making a mess and possibly flooding that room....it needs to be fixed and theres NO such thing as permanently installed....

You can get the sink re glazed. This will put a new surface on the sink and remove the appearance of the crack.

If the crack doesn't effect the structure this is a nice long term fix. Good for ugly old bathtubs too.
