I've been on my period for 2 weeks now, non stop bleeding, and now, it seems like when I use the restroom, clots of blood are coming out... I'm also experiencing HORRIBLE cramps to where it is keeping me up at night, making me feel like I'm going to be sick (I haven't been yet). Is it just a bad period experience or is there something wrong? Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Serious answers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello.

Are you sexually active? It is possible that it could be an infection or even a miscarriage.. I would really recommend going to see your doctor becuase this does not seem to be normal.

Book an appointment with your doctor ASAP hon and in the meantime, try putting a hot water bottle on your lower abdomen to ease the cramps.

Good luck. :)

Sometimes breakthrough bleeding (which can act like a period but isn't) can occur because the body is having problems being on a particular brand of pill such as if the amount of estrogen in the pill is very low.

This kind of bleeding can also indicate possible infection such as with the cervix.

I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to see what they think is going on.

Sounds like you are having a problem. A friend of mine had a period that lasted like 4 weeks in high school. The doctor gave her hormones to stop it then she had to go ono the pill to keep her regulated. She wasn't having horrible cramps, though. I think you should call your doctor. Sorry I can't really help much, but sounds like more than just a bad period.

I wouldn't mess around with this one. Especially because it's been 2 weeks and you're passing clots. The cramping as well - since the bleeding hasn't stopped I would defnitely go to the Doctor to see what's up.
