Yea absolutely love all the books but got tired of disliking the movies, so they are all right sad that there will be no more books but it was all in good fun!

I was ten when I read the first book in 1999 but didn't really get into the fandom until 2003-2004. The best part of my childhood was being able to grow up with Harry and the rest (by the time DH came out, I was seventeen). If I had read the book for the first time today, I would probably like (love) the story just as much but reading the entire series just wouldn't be the same. With all the books/movies having been released, there are no more surprises to look forward to, no more anticipation, and that makes me sad.

It really is odd how a book about a dorky little kid got so popular. However, I have to admit that I'm almost obsessed with the whole Harry Potter series. The ideas that J.K. Rowling came up with; all the new words and concepts that she created, are fascinating. The writing is excellent though and is a great read for all ages. It must have been something to millions of people. I mean look around: Rowling's the first millionaire..[or is it billionaire] author, the movies are hits, and they're even making a theme park. Still, the "Harry Potter Empire" gives us a distraction from all the war and politics of the world. It's a thing for everyone to enjoy and talk about, so what's the harm in that?

No, he didn't call back after the first time I entered his magical world. As a matter of fact, I am starting to think he wasn't Harry Potter at all. For example - why would Harry Potter be a 55-year old Pizza delivery man?

I just don't get it at all. . .

No, sadly I haven't. But I did start reading the first Harry Potter book in Spanish yesterday. It's the alternative way of making learning Spanish more fun. :)

No, nor do I intend to do so. A guy at work tried talking to me about that stuff this evening but I made him stop by telling him how little I care.
