was watching a video of Bond's 755th, and the commentator said "did it just come back on the field?" referring to the fan that caught the ball... the video did not show this, but did the fan throw the ball back??

I didn't see or hear that but if they did actually throw it back they are out of their mind. That ball is worth a lot of money. You would have to be drunk to throw it back, which is very possible in the bleachers at a ballgame. ha.

He was at the bottom of the pile--the guy that wound up with it. When he finally got out from under the pile of fans vying for the ball, and they got the camera on him, he had a two-handed, kung fu death grip on the ball and a big, idiotic toothy grin--an I just fell azz backward into big money grin.

As feeble minded as most people are, greed keeps them from committing the type of error required to toss money back into the outfield.

On a side note, the bullpen at Petco Field is in the outfield; Trevor Hoffman (a future HOF stopper) said if he caught an historic homer he'd sell the ball and give the money to his cancer-stricken bullpen catcher.

Later, Erin Andrews (hottie field reporter) reported that Bonds' teenage son said he would ask his father to try to get the ball from the fan so they could fulfill Hoffman's plan.

Make what you will of it; the cynical bastard in me smiled a wry smile when I heard that (horny kid).

No, the ball wasnt thrown back. The guy got the ball and kept it. He was interviewed and everything. I think he was from LaJolla, Ca. Only a fool would throw that piece of history back. He'll be rich, shortly.

NO. The fan that got it did an interview (they talked about it in about the 5th inning) and he didnt throw it back. He held it up and was cheering and holding his hands up with the ball and he almost got it taken from him by the fans behind him but he kept it. Not sure if he gave it to bonds or what he did with it from there.

The fan that caught the ball was escorted by security away
to confirm that he had the ball. He kept it and another ball
was thrown into the game.
