File types : All of them . . . mainly video stuff here though.
Hard drive size : Well I have 4 internal and 2 external permanently connected, giving a little over 1TB internal, and 1TB external
Cool Windows apps ? Depends what you like doing, I enjoy video stufff so for me, Movie Edit pro V12.

I use 4 external hard drives (120GB each)
I for Music files
I for Graphics
I for Documents
I for Backups/Software Storage
My internal hard drive is used just for OS and installed applications.
As I have no idea of what you intend to use your computer for I can't recomend any particular applications.

Almost any kind. at the moment 200GB. What do you mean by cool? Look for some freeware sites, there find you "cool" and usefull programs (depends what kind of prog do u need).
