I love my acer aspire 9500, pumped up the ram to 2 gigs, and that makes a big differance,I have had this machine for almost 2 years without a problem. outside the us they are in the top 3 brands. cant tell you much about the 5583 try cnet.com they reveiw lots of stuff and I have found them good @ reveiws. GET THE ACER

acer is a very reliable brand i used an acer laptop for 3 years before i upgraded to a sony laptop i only upgtaded because i need more powerful laptop for gaming not because i had a problem with acer i only ever had one thing go wrong and that was that the batter died in it but that was after a year and half and a lot of use

I dont kno about about the laptop,but Acer is a very reliable brand.
Go search for reviews over the internet.I think theyll help more then users.

Acer is good. A laptop which won't burn a hole in your pocket and at the same time offers a fair amount of features and performance. But check and compare specifications.

Read magazine reviews of laptops, they give a much better review than a user, as they trest them "properly"
