People are not even answering the question. I believe that what t-pain is using is what is called a talk box. Same device that roger troutman used. basically it takes a voice of someone and makes it sound like a particular instrument is talking. Or let's say the performer says La Di Da instead of hearing the persons voice you hear a guitar saying La Di Da.

Wow people really don't know what they are talking about here. He doesn't use a "Computer" or "Software" to change his voice, it is called a VOCODER which he uses to slightly alter his voice giving it an almost robotic tone. He has a good voice but uses the vocoder to separate himself from the hundreds of others that perform as well.

it incredibly is like that Politik geezer rippin Cormega pronounced, hip hop has developed. the element is, mainstream hip hop has developed right into a pile of w*nk, so no person with any actual awareness of lyrics listens to it. Like plenty of human beings pronounced, there continues to be some f*ckin high quality hip hop on the underground scene, human beings like MF Doom have been rippin mics for years now, it incredibly is in basic terms that those artists are greater good to locate and maximum human beings do no longer difficulty finding for them. the two that or they have in basic terms have been given a style for cheesy stale-piss hip hop which comes on the radio. Stuff like that "that's the reason i'm warm" tw*t. B*llocks in case you question me. Whoever killed Jam grasp Jay could factor their triggers at those susceptible-*** 'MC's'. i think of KRS could come back and in basic terms blaze all and sundry!

yes his voice is real he uses and instrument to sound like that something they place in there mouth. you remember Roger and Zapp? he sang computer love he used the same thing on all his songs. they can sing they just use that device to sound mechanical.

on albums and everything its all filtered and edited so it doesnt sound as good when they sing live.
unless theyre REALLY good.
they may sound close to if not the same.

but signers' voices' are edited/enhanced to sound better

oh and if they sound really good while a live performace
they may be lip syncing to save their voice; they may not ALWAYS be a fake.

I know he used to rap before he started "singing" which explains why he always enhances his voice on records. Creative, I'll admit, but if you can't sing, then why bother trying to act like you can?
