Some industries ARE chemistry. Companies like DuPont chemical company, Union Carbide, Dow, Monsanto and others do nothing besides make chemicals for industrial applications.

Paper, Steel, Automobiles, Petrochemicals, Computers, Electronics, Agriculture, Construction................

Chemicals and chemical processes are vital in these and every other sector. We do not notice them because they are built into the details.
