The more energy a lightwave has, the faster it vibrates, and the shorter its wavelength becomes. Blue has the shortest wavelength of any visible light, so the hotest flame would be blue. White is made up of a whole lot of different wavelengths, so my guess is that it wouldn't be as hot overall. Of course, a really bright (hot) blue flame might look white to the human eye, but it wouldn't actually be white...

First of all mind that there is no white color.
Every color tends to seem white when its intensity increases and tends to be black when its intensity decreases. Clearly you can say light blue is more intense than dark blue.
If you wan't more details of which flame is hotter, here is an informaition.
There is Wein's displacement law in Physics
(Lamda)[max]= b/ T
where (Lamda)[max] is the wavelength corresponding to maximum energy, T absolute temperature and b, a constant.
It shows as temperature increases the wave lenght of emmision decreases.

[Means at lower temperature the flame apears Red(lower wavelenght) and with increase of temperature changes to Yellow then Violet (higher temperature) etc]

The lighter the color, the hotter the flame. From red to yellow, then blue to very light blue. I don't think there's such as white flame

Blue is hotter. The color of a flame (or any other object glowing due to heat) has a direct correspondence with its temperature. Look up "color temperature" in Wikipedia to see a chart showing the colors created by various temperatures.

Outer layers of the flame are hotter . Blue is the innermost layer , so any layer outer than blue( white in this case ) has to be hotter.

properly blue is defiantly warmer than yellow. Whoever reported that replaced into incorrect. Even think of of torch lighters. they are use complete because of the fact the wind can no longer blow out the flame. And have faith me they are plenty warmer than regularly occurring ones. regularly occurring lighters have a yellow flame and prefer a candle in case you progression your palms by using the flame no longer too sluggish you don't get burned. i could never try this with my torch. i could burn myself.
