when I was a child on vacation we'd have a tin roof cabin, we always had bad luck so a few days of the 2 weeks would always rain and almost every night. so now when I hear the rain it reminds me of those great times with my family :)

It is a soothing sound for me, it does help me sleep, but I love being awake to listen to it.
