Yes, it is true.
It's better to be alone than lonely with someone else when that someone is your significant other.
-being alone is not being lonely...lonely is sad.

If you mean, "is it better to be alone than to be around people who mistreat you" Then I would say YES to that. Sometimes our lives are filled with folks who do nothing but make us feel bad, they insult us, attack us and generally are deprressing to be around for very long. However, in this day and age, with all the tools for communication that we have at our disposal, there is REALLY little excuse for us not being able to find folks that will accept us for who and what we are. I have used the internet to make many wonderful friends with people that I would have never had the chance to get to know at all, before the internet. For example, I would have never been able to talk with and get to know a certain young lady from Queens, New York City, NY ;) (((((Rae)))))

You misworded it. Ju Boricuas just ain't got no Culchur, Chica.
Lucky for you that you're cute. But, the message got across.

As a cop, you probably know better than any of us what a bad thing bad company can be. A lot of crime and most stupid accidents are caused by people's bad companions egging them on.

I'm a loner by nature and a performer by inclination. Most of the time I'm ok by myself, and when I need people to be with I can always find them. So for me, it's better to be alone.

But, I guess that the world is full of people who need company so bad that they choose Bad Company.

I heard that one to many times in my adulthood years. As I have grown up, I have realized that it a true statement. however; when you are learning in life is better being alone than with someone who's less of a brain help. unless it's a good influential person in your life, it's, it's better to be alone. negative people always brings you down with them. so if you are not strong enough and can easily be influenced by others in a negative way, stay alone....We can all do bad on our own!
but as you age, you have already learn a good sense of righteousness and can help anyone who comes to your life troubled. as you age, you will need people to be part of your life. so my advice is if you have good people that care in your life, treasure them. get rid of bad influences.
Loneliness is not a friend!!!!its a ---------.you know what i mean....it can be awful to die alone.

Yes it is better to be alone than in an unhappy relationship, because if someone better comes along you won't be available for them!

you are right. it is always better to be by yourself in this case. have faith in yourself, you'll enjoy life more by being alone than by being in a relationship that has no future. you'll learn more about yourself and you'll have more time doing the things you like and the things that matter.
