The intent of your question is, If you don't know doesn't mean you have to be rude." If it is someone honestly trying to learn about Malaysia, it gives a bad impression.

You also get two points if you say, you don't know. Good question.

Because I used to tutor school kids & my younger siblings. History is my fav. subject thus I can even memorize the Question. That Question esp. the 1st one is seriously straight out from the text book.
The answers are pretty lenghty for both of the Question & of course; even I myself would hv. to search back the history books to explain better. But I can't coz. I've donated it to the charities & orphanage.

Seriously if wikipedia or google can provide a detailed webpages, I just link it. The answers honestly can cover even up to 3 pages. If it's foreigen students, in college usually they are given notes & compulsory ref. books (THEY DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER NOR LEARN IT IN B.Malay). Which will give them more marks if they refer to it or to their lecturers so they can score. If it's my children, I would certainly refer to their history book to explain to them better.

I've met many online users that don't bother to do their homework & created many stories to get others to do it for them faster. Can sense oneee, the way someone really wants to learn or just want to knw the answer.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but saying that these proved that Malaysians are this or that; that's over-generalizing. Those ppl that reply there can be from anywhere in the world even my foreign friends living in Malaysia or studying in Malaysia before.
Why do u take it so personal?

I would never tell anyone that Chilli crab belongs to Singapore or Chicken Rice belongs to ...... Hainanese Chicken Rice probably belong to China....they got lost of Hainan people in Hainan, probably more chickens in Asia than any asian country and they do eat more rice as a nation than probably any nation in the world... However, I would say that "Singapore is a place famous for chilli crabs" as we can easily find the large Sri Lanka crabs cooked in Tomato+chilli gravy. I do know some resturants have used the Alaska crabs with the tomato+chilli.....taste great ! Any claims to that dish ?

If a foreigner student ask me these historical questions, I'll probably give them a brief answer and next point them to resources to understand the complete picture. If they do in turn react by saying I'm rude and blame me for not knowing history of Malaysia or not doing enough homework, I'll give them the Stone Cold stunner! WTF!
