I think that's why more people like Spiderman better.

I see what the guy above me is trying to say, but I think I understand what you mean by perfect more. I agree with you that all his powers make him too perfect when it comes to fighting bad guys. He's practically invincible unless he's faced with kryptonite making almost any fight seem stupid because you know that he will eventually win. While Spider-Man on the other hand can actually be killed by a simple bank robber if he were to get a lucky shot off. The only thing that prevents that from happening is that it would end his comic series, and nobody would be dumb enough to get rid of him. Although Superman has his problems trying to be accepted "socially" like the other guy said, that isn't what society sees in him.

Everything that the average person knows about Superman is that he is so perfect in his costume that there is really no point in reading his comics because the outcomes will always be the same in the end. That's how I perceive him and I'm sure that I'm not the only one. It wouldn't matter to me if his comics were voted the best stories ever because he will always have that perception (being the key word) of being a two dimensional character with no flaws.

More people can relate to Spider-Man when it comes to his money issues, girl problems, bullies, etc. more because he does not portray the perfect character at all. Plus he can't just rely on his powers to get him through every situation like Superman seems to be able to do in the cartoons and movies that I've seen.

Superman is by no means perfect. There will always be a struggle between the Super and the man and he's always trying to strike a balance. His major weakness is in the perception of him by those around him. He's uneasy seeing himself as the inspirational figure he is. He desperately wants to protect his adopted home, but to do so means staying perched on the proverbial mountaintop while longing to walk among the people he has sworn to protect. Try reading some of Superman's titles sometime before you criticize the character.
BTW, the most recognizable symbol in the world is the big red S. Far more so than Spider-Man.

So true it seems that the only reason he is so quick to rush into a battle is because he knows he's pretty much invincible.Thats why I think Goku is the better chracter you can actually see him getting hurt and he's just as strong but truly more heroic ,he's tried battling villans with no power whatsoever left.

I don't think he would be called superman if he wasn't that perfect.

Someone who wears red underwear on the outside isn't perfect.
That might be why Spiderman is favoured, he at least wears his underwear under clothing.
