For me, it's holidays and running around outside barefoot in the summertime until way after dark.

I grew up by the beach so I remember diving in crystal clear waters watching the light patterns on the sand from sunlight refracting on the surface of the water...and exploring tide pools...and endless days of body surfing with my friends...and running around the cliffs like some kind of mountain goat (how did we not die??)

One is sitting on my grandpa's lap when I was 3, I have no idea why I remember this, I was in the living room watching cartoons, went in and sat on his lap, stayed for a few minutes and then went back to the cartoons. He died just a few months after that so this is the only memory of him I have.
The other would have to be holidays running around with my cousins. We always had so much fun... Oh I miss being a kid!

Coming home from school and riding my bike around and around my street. I would try to go faster and faster.
Halloween. The houses were very close to each other then and we got ton's of candy that would last forever.
Living in the swimming pool followed by popsicles and KoolAid.
Playing with my dog & having her in my bed after I would see a scary movie.
Disneyland in the early days, when they weren't gazillions of people.
Followed by Chicken Dinner at the Chicken House at Knott's Berry Farm.
After I got my license driving to the beach and seeing all the kids we went to school with. It was great fun. We would all set our transitor radios to the same station and have the same songs playing down the beach.
Christmas Vacation, Easter Vacation, Both President's days.
Summertime fireworks at the park you could actually see from your own backyard.
And lastly; playing with my friends until the street lights came on.

My fav childhood memory happened when i was eight years old. It was a boring rainy day and i was couped inside the house with my mom. You see, my mom is not a very spontaneous or playful person. She would rather play it safe and stay inside--health reasons, dirty clothes, etc. Well, just when i thought the day couldn't get any worse, my mom told me to get up and follow her. All of a sudden my mom ran out into the driveway and started dancing in the rain, no umbrella or anything. I joined her and we danced til our legs were prunes. That was the first time my mom had ever played with me. It's a moment i'll never forget.

When I was about 10, me, my mom, my dad, and my brother all went to Oklahoma. It was my first time meeting my grandpa. We live in Louisiana, so we had to drive there, and it was like a 13 hour drive. Me and my brother were in the backseat of a Corsica, which was "fun" because my brother was/is really tall. Anyway, the only thing I really remember is when we were all in my Grandpa's car and he was driving. The road we were on was very hilly, and every time we would get to a hill, my Grandpa would hit the gas and speed all the way down!! Me and him were laughing the whole time, and I was screaming,"Faster!!!" Meanwhile, my mom, dad, and brother were all about to simultaneously have heart attacks!!
It was great!

Growing up on a dirt road and after it rained we had our own lake out front....kind of gross now.
Camping at the lot that nobody else wanted because it was in the shade near the storage barn where all the skunks and raccoons and creatures hung out. They would come out at night and visit us around the bon-fire.

My brother have been given thrown out of a motor vehicle as quickly as while i replaced into 8 and he replaced into 10. I cried by using fact i thought he replaced into ineffective by using fact he heavily caught air for 5 minutes and landed a minimum of 15 ft removed from the vehicle. while i found out he replaced into ok, oh how I laughed at him!
