Nope, clever.

Not a bad idea. There are lot's of legal ways to do that without increasing production or helping others do so.

There was an effort this spring to mow down poppy fields. I don't know if they ran out of funds or if there were just too many fields for them to mow. It is also the primary income of the people in some parts of Afghanistan. When they mow the fields, they have to provide an alternative crop. This situation is more complicated than it appears.
