What are "guitar tabs"?

I am looking for guitar chords with song lyrics. "Guitar tabs" keep coming up.

Tabs are diagrams that show you finger positions for each note / part of a song.

A way to show you how to play the song, but not correctly. Tabs just show you which notes to play, so unless you know the song by heart, theres no telling how fast or how slow to play. Learning to read sheet definetally helps because it correctly tells you the timing of each note, but then again if you already know how the song sounds you dont need the timing. Tabs are definetally helpfull but dont discriminate against learning notes, trust me from someone who has personal experience, the moment you learn anything about theory you will become ten times better a player then you once were.

tabs are notes that show which finger go on which fret such as

the top line is the highest string on the guitar the bottom line is the lowest tabs can show notes as well as chords and can still work with lyrics. A chord on tab would be shown like this

this would be a G chord in tab

tabs are the boxes at the top of the staff that show you the chord.
its the same thing as the chord - if you know how to read it... otherwise it also says what chord it is.
i use guitar tab sheet music as piano fake music.

Guitar chords as you know is a group of tones which places your fingers to get a many sounds at ones but taps are some times uses single tone or two.

guitar tabs are better because its not just strumming its the actual note or the lead guitar you can go on youtube and find out how to read guitar tabs :)

Well, if you go to www.ultimate-guitar.com you'll see a bunch of tabs but you'll also see a lot of Chords... dude, what you have to do is look for the ones that say chords on it.. and they even tell you how to play the chord it's pimp.. go to that web site dude.

Its an easier was to read music. Some consider it "cheating" because it literally shows you what fret and string to play. I use 'em but if you already can read sheet music, that's an awesome skill to have

different way to read guitar music. real easy. it represents the place of your finger on the fret board. ----3---- 3rd fret on whatever string and so on.
