My plan (a Democrat) is to do like we planned all along since Bush Sr.; let them kill each other and deal with the winner. If the Sunnis win the civil war, we make friends with the Sunnis. If the Shiite win, we make friends with them.
Whoever wins power, they cannot drink their oil; they need the outside world to survive. They have to sell it to someone and buy goods with the money. We buy the oil and sell them goods. They get money and we get oil. Everybody wins (except the populace, of course, but they never figured into the equation, anyway).

Having our troops in Iraq is pointless. It's doing more harm than good. What aftermath? They had years to do something and did nothing. They didn't do anything to warrant this "war" in the first place. You republicans need you get your heads out of your asses and face facts! You screwed up on this one. Get over it! Plus, the democrats have stated their plans over and over and over and over again. It's idiots like you who refuse to hear it. Why? Well, that's a whole 'nother question and a whole 'nother 5 points.

The Iraqi's have had 4 yrs to step up and defend themselves and still not ready. No more time for them, no more of our blood and treasure for them. The aftermath may be very bloody, just as it is now. If they turn into an El Queda state and attack us then it will be much easier to justify blowing up the entire country, i.e. nukes. I would love to know your age and what war you have fought in........

Actually several of the GOP candidates have supported Biden's plan.
