Guess who owns most of that poppy crop that is used to make heroin? That's right. The Taliban. Who then use that money to buy weapons & supplies for themselves & Al Qaeda to attack US troops in Afghanistan while also supplying every addict & new addict in the USA with Heroin.

Funny how people don't even realize how Afghanistan is almost as screwed up as Iraq. Afghanistan is now a combination of Iraq & Columbia. Ain't that nice to know?

Isn't Bush doing a great job?

I said something very similar about an hour ago:

"I do think that Islamic terrorist groups are making money from it and using that to finance their operations. I think they have been for years. I don't think Bush&Co thought of that.

And heroin has gone popular in the US and the price is low and the quality is up since the war on terror. I'm sure that Bush&Co don't care about that because they think the heroin is just going to kill people who are worthless anyway. I think that Bush thinks like that.

I think that US and EU heroin money is financing terriorists and is buying arms to fight US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think Bush&Co thought of that."

BTW, I don't think the Taliban owns the poppy crop, but they probably take a cut of the profits from the warlords as a tax..

It is sad that the only crop that the farmers can make a living off of is opium poppies. Perhaps the UN should outbid the Taliban and use the poppies to make opiate drugs rather then synthetic opiates now being produced. The farmers have their income and the Taliban goes broke similar to the Soviet Union.

I wonder who is getting their own Medicine, is it not the United States who funded the Taliban in the 1980's to fight the Russians and know they are fighting the Taliban. Isn't it funny how things come back to bite you in the *** for what you had done earlier. Old saying what goes around comes around and in some cases the United States is getting it back for garbage they pulled in the past. Another fine example is Iran where the United States and Britain with MI 6 and the CIA helped to put the Shah of Iran into power illegally in 1953. Funny what goes around usually comes around eventually.

This is not news. Afghanastan is well know for exporting drugs to fund the Taliban. Bush's time in the White House has almost expired. Thank goodness.

the answer to the question is that we've did no longer supply any possible determination to poppy production. anybody who is familiar with something will inform you that those numbers do no longer equate authentic money for the growers yet for highway salesmen in the trip spot international locations. as a result that's our duty to offer afghan farmers the strategies they might desire to be efficient. As to why production larger, i could say that we are in the midst of world growth in each and every little thing why no longer poppy in afghan? in basic terms using fact its unlawful here does not make it incorrect everywhere.

Disagree almost to the point of detestation liberal views but drug policy in this country needs to be reviewed.

Although you must know both parties profit by the current system.
