tummy time, play with him on the floor with toys

my son is two months and he loves to have tummy time while I sit with him and talk to him, he also loves it when I sing to him it gets the best smiles and giggles out of him. I also read to him and I'll hold him up so that he's standing on my legs and looking me in the face. I try to just keep a steady stream of conversation directed at him and he seems to really enjoy that, it so cute when he fills the gaps in the conversation in with his little coos and squeaks. Don't be too concerned though about what activities you're doing with him as long as you're doing SOMETHING with him.

Have fun!!!

He's still little but he's probably trying to move around a bit and smiling a lot? Hold him under his arms and let him stand on your lap. He'll build up his leg muscles and smile at the silly faces you make while he does this. You can also help him start rolling over by gentle rolling him back and forth. At this age one of the best things to do is just talk and smile at each other all the time. Pretty soon he'll break out that grin everytime he sees you walk into a room.

When my children were two months old, I liked to put them in a front-carrier (strapped to your chest rather than in a stroller) and go for walks. They could see more that way and be more stimulated, but still feel very secure and safe. I have very fond memories of that.

When my son was 2 months old, he liked to bat at the toys on his Baby Einstein gym, and anything that would put him in suspense, like "I'm gonna get you!!"

start to read to him..that's good for both of you...also start him on a schedule..I would feed my kids at 6pm every night, after dinner they had their warm bath, into their pajamas and then in bed by 730pm . They were on this schedule for years..it gave me a chance to enjoy every night with my husband and I never had to fight with them about going to bed. They knew that once they ate, had a bath and were in their pajamas it was bed time. If you start now you will never have to stress out about not having enough time for yourself
