petition for support.(income execution standard 17% in NY) A few months later we reconciled & we ammended the order to direct pay at $100. Off & on we would brake up. I would always give her cash. This brings us to 2007. We had a break up & she is a scorned woman. She filed a petition stating I never gave her any support for our child since the inception of the order in 03. (Which is a fabrication).I appeared after being serverd and was given an chance to bring evidence to refute her. We were ajourned to the next week. I was unable to appear and a default order insued. The CSMS# that was on the petition was now changed to another number. After filing a motion to vacate a defaulted order. I had my day in court. She did not appear & the mag.defaulted against her. Ordering income execution removed & zeroed out the arears. he closed the original csms# .but the new # was not closed & SCU says I still owe and threatening my Drivers liscense. How to I get the SCU off my back?

Sweet Pea you have to pay what is owed because when a order of support is set by a judge, you cannot have it ammended by another judge because they will find in favor of what the othe judge originally ordered. You have got protect yourself when paying cash, don't exchange money from one hand unless you receive a receipt in the other. Good luck!

I think you should talk to a lawyer about this. It's the best way to protect yourself in the future from anymore false claims on her part.

Also, I just want to say, what is WITH all these people jumping all over you for asking a question about child support? Everyone just wants to assume the dad is a horrible person and the woman is the victim. It's sickening.

Good luck, man. The system sucks when it comes to custody and support issues.

Since you're not willing to give more money to your child, you should give it to a lawyer who can help get you out of the royal mess you've made of your life.

BTW to all those complaining about "the system" being unfair to men -- the system is set up to take care of the kids you carelessly fathered.

Pay what the law says you owe and stop paying in cash or get a reciept when you do. The law doesn't recognize stupidty.

The issue here is not about you or the woman. The issue is about what type of father you're being and basically - it's a father that SUCKS at being responsible.

You're not paying your ex - you're taking care of your child as you should. Get it straight, grow a backbone and help raise your child in a monetary fashion.

Your a dead beat dad. Not impressed at all by your big story line. You need to turn yourself in and pay your child support thru the court.
