12 yrs ago I was in a motorcycle accident and my ankle took the full impact of the 1979 Impala that hit me, My ankle was crushed. Luckily, a rod and screws saved my foot. The pain was awful for the first 6-8 mths. Then got better over time with therapy and exercise. Recently, the weather has caused pain, not nearly as bad as the first mths. but still unconfortable. Hope yours wasnt as bad as mine. Ouch!!!

My ankle was twisted backwards in an ATV accident and I was off pain pills in a week. Three months seems excessively long. Have you broached this with your doc? My memory is fading but I thought I was in a walking cast by the three month point too. Every break has its own characteristics though (I am guessing here but it makes sense to me).
Now, after about a year the pain did return but that was due to problems with the hardware and a second surgery to take out the plates and screws fixed that.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.
Heal your ankle fully & fast?

I feel the most important part of healing an injury is developing the muscles that support the injured area, where ever it is. Ask your doctor to give you some physical therapy for the leg, calf and foot. This will not be easy but it will help to increase blood flow, strengthen supporting joints and stimulate the injury to heal.

Randy's took 13 surgeries, an spectacular time to heal and a good number of prayer. there is easy on the tip of the tunnel! basically savour having him close with few interruptions and permit him count number on you for a on an identical time as. it is going to draw you closer and he will undergo in innovations all you probably did on an identical time as he replaced into down and love you extra for it. Be imaginitive, locate some couples video games, seek the cyber web for creative issues to do. possibly get him to tell you issues he would never sluggish all the way down to talk approximately earlier. Plan your destiny.... substantial element, wait and spot, he gets grumpy and stir loopy. basically attempt to maintain him off that leg, the before he rests it and we could it heal, the speedier he will off the mattress. additionally, provide him a good number of calcium and vit.D. perchance even attempt out some new cooking recipes, he would be an extremely good guinea pig for somewhat. :) good success and God Bless!

When they say no pressure for 3 whole months that means it's going to be painful for a good long while. You didn't break it, you shattered it, that's a whole other level of healing. good luck.

With luck, it should come around in 6 months or so. Or it may never be right again. My Achilles did recover, but my knee never will.

That depends on how much you listen to your doctors and take of yourself, (what you eat, drink, etc.)
It will be sore on and off for several months, depending on your activity level.
I hope you heal fast.
Blessings
