I camped with my children when they were younger. Practicing for a scout trip for the two older boys..We let the two younger kids in. Every noise was a monster...The wind howled. A dog barking was a ravenous animal...
It was fun...there was no sleep...but I had a great time and a sore back.

As a new child, sure, we camped in our outdoors some circumstances. It became relaxing, yet I many times regarded forward to snoozing in my mattress day after immediately. merely have been given back from a one night tenting holiday with my 9yr previous son for Cub Scouts...good circumstances !~!

Used to do that a lot as a teen, sometimes my little sister would join me. Our next door neighbor always seemed to come outside and say "hi" and staring, so my parents forbade it.

Yeah. My boyfriend bought a tent and set it up then felt we should try it out. It was fun with all the convenence of home.

Quite often. Mom would throw my sleeping bag and pillow out into the yard while saying, "Daddy and I need our special time, you'll understand when your older" as she closed and locked the door.
I now send all of my therapy bills to them....

yes when i was a kid my parents had a lot of land and we would camp on the back lot and have a fire and tell ghost stories.
