I was raised on them. I don't think there is a bad way to fix grits. I love em with little pieces of ham in them. Aw they are good.

I have had grits. My mother went to college in the South and loved grits. We had them unsalted with butter. Sometimes with cheddar cheese.

I'm in the south myself and you bet I eat grits!! You're right... it is just part of a good breakfast. lol
I make them several ways. For breakfast I salt and pepper and majorly butter them. TONS of butter. lol
But I make great garlic cheese grits that I serve at dinner time. They go great with ham! Tons of garlic and cheese....and I add tobasco sauce for that ZING!!
Yep, I'm one of those weirdos that does indeed love grits. :)

I am a Southerner as well, I eat them all the time. I like mine cooked with a little milk, then when done I add salt and shredded cheese.

Yup a southern girl right here (Georgia)
I only eat them home made (no instant for me) and I have salt, pepper and butter. And I love to have fish and tobasco with them too! Mmmmm!!!
