Did they say they put on streaming videos instead of videos as a file download to disk?
The 1st method definitely slows 'Net line, the other method definitely will not slow, of course I am assuming you are using something better than P2 computer.

yes because sometimes it may be downloading files on your computer and you not even know it. that's when you might start noticing the decrease in Internet speed

Nope. You can't slow down the internet. You probably mean your computer can't handle the download with its vidcard or your ISP may be slowing down your pipe if they notice lots of traffic.
Doubtful with just viewing vids.

Yes. Then it will spam your hardrive and create a virus that'll spill out of the monitor creep into your brians and kill you.
