I've never really had a hard time telling the truth.(e.g. admitting to my aunt I was the one who mixed the dirty laundry with clean by mistake). I just said "I plead the fifth" and it's usually alright. People are generally more annoyed with people lying to them more than they actually care about what they're lying about.

technically I cannot lie as my memory is not very reliable.

My parents, i couldn't possibly tell them the truth!! If they only knew, my dad would disown me and my mom would allow it! Though i do feel guilty, i can't be honest with them, no matter how much it kills me
