There was no Sparta vs Persia war. The war was between the Greeks and the Persians. Neither of them won. The winner was Alexander the Macedonian.

It was all Greeks VS Persia...if you mean only Sparta, the city was conquered by Persians for about a year...but Greeks succeeded in pushing Persia out of Greeks somehow

TG nailed it. It was a Greek vs Persian war. The Spartans got a lot of press, but they weren't the only Greeks in the fight. The Greeks won, by the way. They drove the Persian army back to Asia. Alexander the Great would finish the job by taking the war to the Persians and beating them on their own turf!

What war would that have been?
If you've been watching the movie, you should be aware that the Spartans weren't the only people fighting at Thermopylae, with 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians in the mix (along with their slaves), and many cities were only waiting until the "holidays" were over to join the fight. The naval battle of Salamis was largely Athenian, and Plataea ended things in the favor of the Greeks, with the various cities acting almost as a unified country.
