Yes. Many times in the past. However, in recent years I worked very hard at growing up and out of dependence, on pain, on people, on addiction. The whipping post no longer means anything, not self-flagellation or external punishment, just a thing to be avoided. There isn't as much liberation in the kind of pain as we're taught.
