Yes. I never drink much. One drink, or one beer. Mom always wanted "a little taste" of my beer, and that meant, she'd take more than half of it.

Let's start with there should be no double standard. There is no reason to differentiate between men and women, except for issues of breastfeeding. In my opinion, it not acceptable to get drunk in front of young, but cognizant, children. If your infant sees you drunk, I don't think it's a big issue. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE SOMEONE THAT HAS NOT BEEN IMPAIRED CARING FOR THE CHILD. However, when you children become more cognizant, say at 12-15 months, I'd encourage caution. Children this age will pick up the funny behavior of someone that's drunk. My opinion is that a glass of wine with dinner is fine, however. Or a drink or two at a party. But not more. It is 100% unacceptable for "the husband" to be drinking to the point of being (mildly) drunk and then driving. Period. It is not acceptable to have small children around people that are falling down drunk. Too dangerous.

yes, but I am nearly 40. I've drunk to get tipsy in front of them. But I rarely drink these days. I think the last time I was tipsy, they were too, at their house last christmas

Yes, I'm under age, plus I've sipped some before in a country that's not illegal to drink under age and it was DISGUSTING! But I'll learn when I get older

I've been drinking in front of my parents since I was 13. However, I certainly would not get drunk in their presence.

My parents are both dead, but yes, I used to drink in front of them. We would often have wine with dinner. I would not have gotten truly drunk in the presence of my mother, but I've been drunk in front of my father. He was an alcoholic, and he often gave me liquor.
