It depends on the player, in most cases though I would give it back to the player and maybe ask for something like a bat or a helmet, a picture with the player, something along those lines.
As for a world series ball, I'm not so sure how I would handle it. I would likely try and see to it that the organization gets the ball or that it finds it's way into Cooperstown, or in the case of the Orioles, the sports Legends Museum that's within walking distance of Oriole Park, and also very close to M&T Bank Stadium (Ravens).
Something like that I feel is important for the fans to get to see first hand. I remember Red Sox first baseman Doug Meintkewicz (I know I probably spelled that wrong), who caught the throw on the grounder for the out at first that ended the world series kept the ball. I feel as if something like that is important to put on display for the organization, even if it's just for a short time.

Well that depends on the situation. Now something like the 500th homerun I think that I would return it. Actually I think I would sell it back to him. Now if its a world series now that I'm keeping.

I would give it back but first I would want a picture taken with the player with me holding the ball. Just for keepsakes. I would also ask politely for an autographed jersey or maybe tickets to another game as his guest. That would be cool. If player wasn't nice and couldn't at least do that for me then honestly I wouldn't want to keep the ball anyways.

i honestly wouldn't know what i do. A part of me would want to keep it so i can make a bundle selling it. Another part of me would want to keep something so special & historic. And finaly another part of me would want to give him that ball b/c i'm sure he will give me something good in return for it anyway.

If the player wanted it back, I would give it to him if he compensated me for it. Like, with an autographed bat, or a couple thousand dollars.

give it back to the player. its something that is a milestone for a player so i dont know why someone would keep it because its unfair to the player.

Keep it and sell it. If he wanted to pay me for it I would sell it to him. He's got plenty of money to do so!
