It is very hard on the body. It can ruin your esophagus and it can cause heart trouble, among other problems.

I've seen someone go through it and that was just messed up. Your body doesn't have a chance to take in the nutrients needed to survive and every time you throw up, your stomach acids come up with the food, damaging everything on the way up. The lining of your throat gets rotted away and your teeth get eaten away by the acids. Your hair will thin and fall out and you lose colour in your skin and you just get VERY unhealthy and eventually die a slow and VERY painful death.
Hope you never try it, not even once.

Eating disorders have one of the highest death rates of all mental illnesses. The Eating Disorders Association (UK) estimates a 10% mortality rate. An 18% mortality rate has been suggested for Anorexia Nervosa.[1] In addition to the risk of suicide, “death can occur after severe binging in bulimia nervosa as well”.[18] For perspective, these death rates are higher than those of some forms of cancer.
However, the mortality rate related to bulimia is quite low, when compared to anorexia nervosa.[2]

One reason, it erodes the lining of the esophagus. It also erodes tooth enamel and discolors teeth. Plus, it is terrible on the digestive tract.
Other than that, it is an effective way to lose weight.

Its bad because your body isn't getting the nutrients it needs if you throw it up right after eating. Malnutrition should be a good enough reason not to start it.

Do you mean bulimia? You are not getting any nutrition, and you'll wither up like a sundried tomato.
