with no offense to hank aaron he is the mlb all time home run leader until bonds ties and breaks his record why is it that everyone talks about it being the all time record when Sadaharu Oh has the ALL-time record of 868 whether its mlb or not that is the all time record why will no one on any us tv sports show or news acknowledge this fact ?

It's likely because Japanese baseball has never been considered on par with major league baseball. Most people consider it equivalent to somewhere between AAA and MLB. Even Japanese players acknowledge the fact that their league isn't on par with the majors.

Acknowledging that record would be equivalent to giving credit for players' numbers at the highest rung of the minor leagues.

Before you get to Oh, one must not forget that Josh Gibson hit over 800 homers when he was playing in the ***** Leagues. In fact many of the best players never got the chance to play in the Majors because of racism. Baseball has truly now become a global game and the quality is better. So I respect what Bonds has done even though I don't care for him as a person

You can't start mixing league stats, next you are going to have to add in minor league, playoff, all star-games and preseason. Maybe Hank hit another 113 in all of those situations over his career.

because no one cares about any other country other that the US, as far as we're concerned 755 is the current all time record...besides "homeruns" in some other countries are easier to get because of shorter outfields...
not to mention that other countries dont take pitching as seriously as we do..

If you are going to "go there" Josh Gibson should be mentioned somewhere.
