You're trying to blame Bush for not doing anything when the USS Cole was attacked during Clinton's watch? Sixteen US Sailors were killed by terrorist linked to OBL and Clinton did absolutely nothing.

Clinton had numerous opportunities to get OBL after the first WTC attack and did nothing because his administration had little regard for nabbing terrorist. Eight months into GW's administration we were attacked on 9-11. The US has not been attacked again in the last Six years...

It's just as apparent today, as it was back then, on where liberals and some Democrats stand on national security...

One of discerning aspects of the Cole investigation was that, John P. O'Neil the lead investigator for the F.B.I. and who later, after his retirement from the F.B.I. became Security Chief at the Trade Towers and died there on 9-11. made great progress in Yemen on the Cole investigation. The Yemen authorities were calling him brother. He had to return to Washington D.C. for F.B.I. business regarding the Cole and Clinton's Ambassador to Yemen would not renew his passport to return. She wanted control of all aspects of the investigation. O'Neil would not surrender it for publicity purposes. That was the end of the investigation and O'Neil retired because of it. I recall how I felt and knew nothing would be done by the Clintons.

So if all the 9-11 conspiracies are true, why hasn't anybody said the USS Cole was just rigged to blow like the WTC?

I recall that most were concerned that AlQaeda was a growing force and that bipartisan calls for action to mitigate against further attacks including the use of force was required. Clinton did take action in bombing a suspected chemical factory in Sudan as well as knocking out some strong holds of AlQaeda in Afghanistan. When GWB took over, he was provided all the latest intelligence and recommendations to thwart potential attacks for other US embassies and target of interests around the world including the homeland. It was in GWB's hands thereafter. We all know what happened in 2001 and it was unfortunate that a lame duck President didn't get off his butt in Crawford and do something about it.

The Cole bombing was October 2000 -- I don't recall any significant public hysteria, or any major political initiatives.
