Hey hun,
I know the feeling, I'm training to be a nurse, and I wouldn't reccomend it.
First of all you don't need anyone or anything to make you better as a person.
If you want to change your job, then do it. Study, get more qualifications, even a degree? You could still work as a HCA while you do it? Maybe even train to be to be a paramedic or a doctor?
Travel more, a well travelled person is ALWAYS better off for it. Believe me.
Go the gym, train, take up a martial art, be the best you can be!
Aim to be the best you can be in all spheres of life, education, intelligence, spirituality and physical prowess, you can't go far wrong hun, and you will really kick lifes **** on the way and have a great time doing it!

I think you are well on your way.. self improvement is a journey NOT a destination. There are other professions that you can look into... I have always said sit down.. and write everything you life.. just write and write and write.. for 5 minutes or so. Try not to judge as you write - just write. When the 5 minutes buzzer goes off.. look at the paper.. see if there is a common thread.. that is probably your true passion.. see if within your passion there is a job/career. DO NOT QUIT your job, but investigate how you work your passion. I know that I have always done that and it is so rewarding.. in this day and age people should love what they are doing otherwise, they should do something else.
As far as 'not having a man' - SO WHAT! Yes, it would be nice to share moments with someone special but DO NOT state not having a man as some sort of weakness. At current, you are not involved with someone therefore you have more time for yourself. Friends are busy - I am willing to bed that some of them are working jobs they are not necessarily thrilled with; however on the side they are pursuing their passion.. so that they can eventually resign from the job they do not like to succeed in the one they do.
You will find your groove.. be patient... Be honest when you are being introspective and if you ask for input make sure you ask those you respect. You DO NOT have to change everything someone mentions, just take their comments with a grain of salt and do the best you can.
It's a never ending journey, but it is SO much fun - ENJOY!
Please post again.. with some new discoveries..
I wish you well.

Sounds like time management is having a negative impact on you, it must be very difficult to find time to relax seems you life is filled with work, which you say you enjoy so that's good but I find that when I don't get time with friends or family it makes me unhappy no matter how much I enjoy my job (which I do!) theres a delicate balance that's hard to find but so important to life. Sounds like you haven't had time to evaluate what you want to do, the opportunities are really endless and the choice is your own, you must have excellent skills already as your job Id imagine would be very demanding, you must be skilled professionally and socially so maybe if you can give yourself time to think and relax more the answers will come to you, the first change may be just finding some me time to reflect and analyse your own feelings and priorities.

I know it sounds hard but you just need to stick it out. Something will always go your way eventually.
If you're on a low income can't you do a home study or a part time college course and get help with the fees?
I feel for you, I am in the same situation and I am just about to start an OU degree and I am getting financial support for that.
Stick with it and good luck.

What are you looking for is higher income for less time spent at work. What I can suggest is start looking for "what" will increase your income. Obviously it is not overtime. So for the next 7 days keep asking YOURSELF /and people around you/ over and over the following question - "What will bring me extra cash?" - and write down every suggestion you get!
After a week, check up all your answers and pick one that will appeal to you the most.
Then work on this one like amateur gynaecologist on his girlfriend. Chew up every detail of your chosen answer. Divide it into as many steps as possible. Write down all the steps you will have to take to realise this new goal of yours. This is your "Mission statement". Follow your first step, and everything else after that will come automatically.
Good luck, matey

I hear you. It's hard to work and not see anything come of it. Next thing you know you're two years down the road and nothing has changed. You have to ignite your life to change. You have to be the cause and the cure at the same time. Trust in God and He will help you. Believe in yourself and trust in yourself. Write what you fell and go back and read it. I think you will surprise yourself.

I do not think there is anything better than a person who takes the time and effort to work in healthcare.

You need to try and get some kind of degree, even if it's only an associate's degree. I would also go to a community college and talk to a career advisor about your situation.
They'll be able to help you.

have you spoken to your supervisor or someone in the company about furthering your career/ training. it would show you are commited to your job. otherwise you have to see whether to can comprimise your hours and wages for more time off, where you can take up some sort of hobby ie salsa, or whatever floats your boat.
