I'm thinking of getting one built and I'm not sure how the heating and cooling will be? Will it be more expensive? Are they worth the money or are they more like manufactured homes? I want to know all of the pros and cons.. Thank you :)

There's nothing wrong with a steel framed house, but then there's no advantage over wood framing either. Steel framing does not lend itself well to simple modifications (try to hang a heavy picture on the wall through steel framing). Any future renovations are also difficult, simply because you're working with steel over wood.

Sellers of steel framed houses try to push the fire concept on you. They're right. The framework of the house won't burn, but everything inside the house WILL burn, and it will get hot enough to twist and warp the steel framing.

I'd go for a conventional wood framed house, were I you.
