Who does?
I'm serious. Self understanding, that is genuine, is very difficult and requires help, in most cases.
Possibly you are not referring to actual introspection. You may mean that you did or think something that you have come to call into question.
This is actually healthy. We should, from time to time, make an effort to reassess our position on things in general.
Saddly, too many of our fellow travelers on spaceship earth will not chance such an effort. These individuals prefer to be "right" all the time.
Sad really.
So, keep thinking; this is a really good thing.

I would recommend forcing yourself to move out of your parent's house, maybe go to University and live there. That is the best way for you to have experiences with people and to get you comfortable with yourself in the outside world. I think I'm probably a lot like you. I moved away at 19 and went to school 2000 miles from home. I had a really great time and found that I enjoyed friends (and boys) a lot more than I'd thought. It didn't last thought because when I was done with school after 4 years away I ended up back at my parent's house. It's just a matter of forcing yourself to do things you don't want and that you know makes you uncomfortable until you find the place that will give you the most happiness. On a side note, I have a few friends with social anxiety who take medication which has helped immensely. I've always been hesitant about that stuff so have never tried it or been diagnosed but it may surprize you the changes it can make.

Who cares if you understand yourself or not, just be happy. What for if you had finally understand yourself but your are ont happy. No matter how good or how bad you are, happiness should be the first thing to came into your mind. You can't wish things could just make sense, that would be horrible, you don't wanna see a happy couple and a few seconds later, you found out that they are cheating on their original couple. Try to live you life in a more positive way.

Jamie, all I can say is that you are in complete control of your own destiny. You are responsible for what happens to you in life and your situation. If you don't like it, then change it. You have the power to do this and no one can do this for you. I know it sounds hard but you just make up your mind what you what to do or be and then do it and don't let anyone stand in your way. If you find you made a mistake, that's life! Don't regret it, accept your failure, learn from it and choose another path. You will find what's right for you after some time and when you do you will be happy. You are the most powerful person in your life!

Try to find things you like to do and people you can associate yourself with. What do you feel passionately about or feel good when doing, and try to make this more in your life. Try to find people who make you laugh or feel good about yourself. As for your goals, determine what you think is important and make a plan and take it step by step.
