I love that name.
I think it's awesome.
As an adult...
I see someone who is very intelligent, and has a good sense of humor.
As a child..
I see someone who is the epitome of 'little boy' with hair that begs to be touselled :)
Of course, I just really like that name...so I'd only see positivity!

I don't like the sound of the name Silas. It seems harsh. I prefer the warmer feeling from the name Cyrus. Silas sounds old-fashioned and from another century also. So it wouldn't be a name that I'd pick!

Well, like everyone else is saying, Silas from the Da Vinci Code, but he was my favorite character, so I do see the name in a positive light.
It also makes me think of the Bible.
It's a good name though.

I think of the albino Opus Dei member from the book 'The Da Vinci Code' by Robert Brown. I also think of the prisoner Silas from the Bible. Either way, it's not a good association for me. I'm a farmer, so it also makes me think of the words silage and ensiled.

That book "Silas Marner" that I read umpteen years ago in school. He was an epileptic, so I think of epilepsy when I hear that name. It was a great name to use 150 or so years ago. Maybe it will make a comeback--who knows?. . . .

It's a Biblical name. Silas was Paul's companion. The name itself isn't my favorite (I prefer Paul)

I think of Silas Marner - not a bad connotation, but not a name I would choose either.
The Heroes villain is Siler (sp?) not Silas.
