I bought this on sale and it did not come with a tag, I was hoping someone would know what it is so I don't have to go back out to the nursery to get the name.

(ignore the black magic elephant ears poking out of it)

I posted a note once, but I guess I will do it again, YES I know what the elephant ears are, they just happened to be there when I took the picture, I want to know if anyone knows what the green and yellow foliage is.

It is not a a euonymus japonicas because it doesn't have smooth leaf edges. Also euonymus has slightly thick leaves.
I think it is a Duranta. The variegated dark green one looks like one we can get called Aussie Gold, probably under a different name in America. They have little blue flowers followed by yellow/orange berries.

It is a Euonymus japonicus shrub. It can grow 8-10 feet tall and needs about 6-8 foot spacing for it to grow. It is hardy from zone 6 on. It can take full sun or part shade. The shadier it is, the less variegation or color difference of the foliage. It is an evergreen shrub and doesn't require more than average watering after established. It does make a great hedge or a specimen plant. I think it is an underutilized plant. Good luck with it. :)

Even if you eliminate the elephant ear, I still see two plants. A var. Privet in the background and a - ? - (golden 9-bark?) in the foreground ?? RScott

It may be a variety of euonymus. They are evergreen and some are variegated. Here is a picture:
