I'm not saying that this is the case in your question, but often without realizing it, our attitude "invites" attitude in others. Irritation over "nuisances" compounds their impact on you as well. Personally, I've never had an "all" bad day; I rather think that's impossible unless one is so focused on the bad, they don't see the good. It's possible that the "central planning" is you.

I don't reckon there's ever a bad day. But certainly there can be days fraught with inconveniences and aggravations - and they usually happen at least in threes if not more. On the other hand, I reckoned every one of those interventions was also an opportunity to deal with something I hadn't seen needed dealing with, or suchlike (short of a car crash or equivalent - and even that can be an opportunity to buy a new one with the insurance). So they made the day like a hard-played tennis match - and who would complain at that? They made me tired perhaps, but with a sense of achievement - or at worst with a problem or three reserved to play with later, like a ball suspended over the net so it could be examined closely at leisure. I found the trick in busy chaotic days is NOT to wish you could be doing something else (it saps your energy and focus), and NOT to deal with anything immediately that doesn't need immediate response, regardless of others' urgency (so you can think about it, and deal with it appropriately for a profit one way or another). I like Valac Gypsy's answer - so true ... the enemy is always, or often us! It's certainly our reactions, more than our responses.

Valac Gypsy is right. I remember vividly skiing with my son in 1988 in Zurs, Austria. I had a stupid accident and severed my anterior cruciate ligament. It wasn't all that painful, but my knee was ruined. I was very upset and we had to catch a bus back to St. Anton where we were staying. On the bus ride back, I remember the most glorious sunset I have ever seen reflected off the snowy peaks everywhere. I guess you could have a totally horrible day, but then you will realize that tomorrow and next week will be better for sure.

Just had a day like that. The starter, the belt, and the a/c compressor on my car all went out at the same time, simultaneously. Normally I believe that we bring bad days on ourselves just by our attitudes attracting bad people. But how do our attitudes effect inanimate objects? There are coincidences sometimes.

The only time people "get on your case," is when they believe you are weak and helpless. People do not have empathy for the weak or afraid. Every day you get up, you are facing yet another battle. People are ALWAYS testing me to see how far they can push me. They always loose. I always win.
