There is no practical way of wiping out a population of nematodes if they are happily established in your lawn. However I would be astonished if the nematodes are in fact damaging your lawn. Are you certain that you have not made a mistake?

There are beneficial nematodes...parasitic nematodes that attack those......."guys." If applied correctly......and it's tricky but not impossible.....they do a good job on nematodes as well as grubs. http://www.marchbiological.com/L/beneficial_nematodes.html

dig up whole lawn and 3ft of soil and replace with new ,your soil under lawn is contaminated.

Another thing you can do is call a professional exterminator and see what they suggest. If at all possible, let them do the job.
