Can someone tell me around how long I could expect Disney's Magical Express to take to get to the All Star Movies resort? I have kind of a dilemma. The flight that is on the day that I am going gets there at 3:12pm. My sister and her family have dinner reservations at 5pm. However, I need my sister's husband to check me in to my resort, as he booked the tickets with his triple A card. She said if I don't get there earlier, I will have to wait until they are through with dinner. So how long can I expect it to take?

It will really just depend on how full the bus is, where they stop before you, etc. I would not estimate less than an hour (usually more). You also have to account for other things, for example, the plane may be delayed a few minutes, or even more (sometimes they do arrive early, it depends on the airline. Airtran for example seems to be pretty good at getting in on time American, on the other hand is often delayed) So you have to account for that, as well as the time it takes to get your luggage and to the bus. I would not estimate getting on the bus until at least 4, maybe a little earlier.

Since you will more than likely be getting to the resort very close to 5, I would say you probably won't be able to catch up with them. They will also need to leave 15-30 minutes early in order to get to their reservation (not sure of where they will be dining, parks don't take as long to get to as it would for another resort, if they will be taking Disney's buses) It will be very difficult for you to make it there on time. Even if you were to take a private transfer, even though it would save you quite a bit of time, you may not make it quite in time.

If everything goes perfect, i.e. your plane lands early, your luggage is the first one you see, the bus leaves as soon as you get there and you are the first stop off the bus, you may make it, but otherwise I think it may be too close.

You did say that your brother in law bought the tickets with his AAA card, just want to make sure that you are not just referring to the tickets. If so, you don't need to have him check in for you. If the room is under your name, you can check in. But if the room is actually under his name, and not your park tickets, then he will need to check in.

One suggestion, if your sister is also staying at the All Star Movies you may ask her to have an extra room key made for you and leave it at the front desk. When you get there you can ask for it (I would have her put in an envelope or something) and then stay in their room until they get back. It won't be as convenient, but it would at least give you a place to sit for a while and put your bags there until they get back.

Hope this helps!

Hi! I'm not sure how long it takes, but from Orlando airport to Disney World is about 20 miles. Just thought I might let you know. Hope you make the dinner!
